Over the last 25 years, only a handful of games have entered all areas of the public consciousness. The original ASTEROIDS is one of them. Released in arcades in 1979, gamers were blown away by its elegance and simplicity. The objective was to pilot a small ship through a never ending series of asteroids, blasting them off the screen in your fight to stay alive. Paying homage to the famous game, Crave Entertainment bring us ASTEROIDS HYPER 64 for the Nintendo 64, allowing gamers to once again man the ship and obliterate tons of space granite. This 3D-version provides non-stop action and a multitude of upgrades to quench even the most discriminating player's thirst for action. Guide your ship safely through 50 levels of asteroids, obstacles, and aliens as you pilot three different ships, each with unique characteristics and functionality. This graphical masterpiece includes several multiplayer options including a Versus mode, a Co-op mode, and a Team mode.
